i 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 this book in one day omg. this is a true enemies-to-lovers dark romantasy and i fell in love with all the characters (except for reyna 🤢).

this book follows emilie and ladon. emilie is actually 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙙 to ladon’s brother, king cyrus. 👀 ladon HATES her because he thinks she’s just a gold digger from a neighboring realm, but she was bred for this — no decisions have been her own.

after disaster strikes, ladon becomes so protective over emilie. 🥹 the things they both went through made my heart break. ❤️‍🩹 but they at least had each other! i cannot *wait* for book 2!
