The Duke's Wife by Jess Michaels

4.0

Although this is the third in a series, I could still enjoy it even though I hadn't read the previous two.

Lately whenever I have been reading books, I have been thinking of the life stories of the characters. In the novels set before the modern era, I have noticed that there was a lot more suffering in people's lives. The doctors were woefully inadequate and death was a very common occurrence. Makes us thankful for the modern medical science. The recent COVID-19 wave hammers this point home.

This is the story of Abigail whose husband was a cheater of the highest degree and Nathan whose sister was one of the people Abigail's husband tried to cheat with. What follows is a story of love between these opposing characters.

The book was written well. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it heartily to everyone.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view
