lucetim 's review for:
The Poisonwood Bible
by Barbara Kingsolver
Read like a children’s book for a large portion of it. Characters seemed unrealistic and I struggled to follow - climactic events happened but I seemed to have missed the build up?
The dated, colonial attitudes presented within mean I struggle to find many redeeming qualities (typically I’m a great believer in allowing characters to be problematic, but this definitely reads like Kingsolver has an agenda).
