I'm starting to noticed that magical realism is a genre I really like. I loved the way the mystery slowly unraveled, although there were reveals that didn't make a lot of sense, such as

the whole plot with Destiny's death. I'm also still not completely sure how Jay and Brandi's relationship fell apart so badly before the 2015 events of the story

. But overall, this was a fun time and made me want to go visit the Ozarks sometime soon.
