This book starts with a bang...literally. When I started this book, I never expected things to start here and it starts things off on an awkward foot but it also kicks things into gear.

Camden is the last of the original Saturgays to find love. He’s seriously one of the nicest, sweetest, most thoughtful characters I’ve ever read. He truly cares about everyone around him and has become a huge part of Jude’s life since he had his heart broken by Rush.

Jude is still unsure of who he is and is simultaneously happy with and confused by Cam, the man who’s been calling him Beautiful since he ended up in town. He’s afraid of his feelings and what it could mean for him since he’s always identified as straight.

But, the chemistry between Cam and Jude is off the charts. They feel the connection and, while the relationship starts off fake, it quickly becomes real for both of them. Seeing Cam help Jude work through his feelings and help him explore his sexuality was so sweet and genuine - he wanted more from Jude for so long but he was so patient with him through it all.

I love the two of them together and really liked that the black moment in this book wasn’t about them as a couple, but about Theo - Jude’s neighbor they became friends with. After everything that went on between the two of them, Camden overcoming his fear of committing to someone who isn’t out yet and Jude’s journey of self-discovery in terms of his sexuality, it was nice that there was no other hurdles for them to overcome as a couple and they could just be there for each other.

Even though I’m sad this was the last of the Fever Falls series, it ended on such a great note. Seeing all of the Saturgays happy and in love (and even married/engaged!!) was so satisfying and left me already feeling nostalgic for this group and town. I have a feeling I’ll be revisiting Fever Falls from time to time when I need a feel-good read.
