The Falconer by Elizabeth May
4.0
I really enjoyed reading this book. I picked it up because the author calls Scotland her home and I have been discovering a few books lately from Scottish authors.
This is one of those books for fans of Sarah J Maas and Julie Kagawa. Aileana is a lady and debutante whose life takes a turn when she witnesses her mother's murder. Now she lives a double life that very few know about. She tracks down the fae and kills them, all in a quest to avenge her mother.
Over the course of the book, she discovers more about herself and her family line that calls everything she knows in to question. Will she become who she was destined to be? Or will she turn her back on this dangerous life she has come to know and crave?
