I enjoyed the book and the creepy ambiance it created.Yet another reason to dislike mushrooms .
One gripe I have is the title Mexican Gothic. Honestly, you wouldn’t know it takes place in Mexico. It could’ve taken place in England or America - the setting of the country/ ethnicity didn’t play a huge role or could’ve been easily substituted with a different country/race.
