A good Layon book, but not a great Laymon book. - To start with the book is too long, and there was a lot of the 'romance stuff' that was just boring and felt like filler. Other than that the main bulk of teh story is interesting and fun in places. I enjoyed the different group dynamics going on and the Trollers vs troll parts were the best bits, and he could had done more of that.
I was quite frustrated with the sudden switch of direction with the main charatcer Duke, I was cross he chose crazy Tanya over Shiner?! - I also liked the twist/reveal near the end.
TAlking of the ending... what the hell happened in teh last 100 pages. It felt like a completely different book. And the spider was a WTF moment! (Though I feel that was wat he was going for)
Overall this book is a must read if you're a Laymon fan and I'd give it 3.5 stars. (Nearer 3 than 4 though)
