What its About: Adrian and Marisela met by chance but it only took just once for Adrian to become obsessed. He is an unconventional "surgeon" and she is his brother's fiance. Dark reimagining of the nursery rhyme Mary had a Little Lamb.
My Thoughts: 5 stars for me. I honestly loved every minute of this book. It was well thought out with genius twists that ultimately came full circle. Sybil knows how to write a book. I really enjoyed Skin but I think I love this book more. Adrian is obsessed but in the best possibly a little psychotic way. Mari is a strong willed FMC who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. I wanted her to give in to Adrian way before she did but she is definitely stronger than me.
****check your triggers****- all triggers are listed in the beginning for readers. There are quite a few things that may make readers uncomfortable.
Spice rating: 🌶🌶🌶🌶. No slow burn in this book. Super spicy. Dubious consent at times but no rape scenes.
Basically if you are a dark romance girly like me. Sybil Knight is the author for you. Highly recommend any of her books. Start with Half cocked, then Skin and then Lamb. Side characters are mentioned in all books. Not necessary to read in order but more enjoyable that way
