I bloody love a good psychological thriller and this book was just that!

The book opens with an awful accident to one of the characters that is fatal. The narrative then switches between the past to present day which leads us up to the moment the character is killed.

It’s written mostly from three POV’s, the widow, the reporter and the detective. You do get the odd POV from other characters at points throughout the book.

This was a quick read for me, as I couldn’t wait for the reveal to happen and for the secrets to be told. The story itself is quite dark (see trigger warnings) and for the whole book you are waiting for this person to get their comeuppance. I liked it, would I read it again, probably not, but that’s ok.
