I had fun with the book. I liked the variety of monsters and the hostile environment of Turah. I enjoyed most of the interactions between characters, and the Guardian and Odessa's banter was decent. Some parts of the story I found predictable, but there was a decent chunk I didn't expect.
I felt like the plot was a bit too slow. For probably over 50% of the book, Odessa has no clue what's happening, so neither do we.
I've seen complaints about how Odessa's inner dialogue is written with tons of questions. I listened to a decent chunk of the audiobook and this didn't bother me, but I understand why some people are annoyed by it.
And, If I wasn't curious about the monsters and the Crux, I would've DNF'd over the stupid ass Wattpad name the Guardian has. I can't. It's so bad.
Overall, I enjoyed it, but YMMV depending on if the plot feels too slow or the FMC annoys you.
