I really struggled with the original Pride & Prejudice and it's dense prose, but this retelling was funny, a shit show of drama after drama and while heavily updated, I think held true to the main plot points of the original story.
Also of note, this book was written in the early-mid 2010's and it shows a bit with its treatment of LGBTQIA+ topics and race. Consistent with the main societal sensibilities at the time, but not so much any more. If you are sensitive on these topics, perhaps give this one a pass.
