The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert
this book was so insta love and the pacing was so off. the first half the book was basically setting up story and then boom love. ruben’s trauma , cherry’s need to perform to be liked and the budding bdsm relationship is not explored at all. i can do with out the bdsm part but for characters like ruben and cherry i think we needed to know them more for any of this to make sense. i think it had to do with him needing control bec child abuse? i don’t know that man so idk
this series is not as good as the brown sisters. the roommate risk and this both don’t flesh out the characters issues but with the roommate risk they at least knew each other throughout the years making their romance believable. in that one we needed to explore the mmcs commitment issues more imo but it was definitely done way better than cherry and ruben’s issues here.
anyway this is probably the worst hibbert book i’ve read so far.
