I was a little nervous that I wasn't going to like this book because I wasn't a big fan of Lily and the Octopus but I was proved wrong. I think the author improved a lot from that book in terms of pacing and didn't go off on tangents like Lily.

I found this book very charming and thought the kids were darling. The main character was snarky and hilarious and over the top. It also made me want to move to Palm Springs.

Definitely recommend this as a light read with a few darker emotional moments.
