I was pretty confused by this book - there is some background given around the IRA but not much, including the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. But then the book continues on in present day with the IRA active as if the agreement was never signed. I was pretty lost on this basis alone. Outside of that, I just didn’t feel like much happened & I wasn’t connected to the characters at all.
