Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

5.0

I still remember it clearly: I was 11 years old, in fifth grade, and a woman working for a Finnish publisher was visiting our school. She introduced us some new series and also read a few first chapters of some of these books, one of which was Neverwhere. Beware of doors. That quote really intrigued me.

And low and behold! On my 12th birthday not long after, I got Neverwhere from my little brother. It was something I had never read before. I instantly became a fan of Gaiman.

Since then, for almost two decades now, it has remained as one of my favourite novels as I've read it again and again, year after year. This time I actually listened to the audiobook, read by Gaiman himself. Highly recommended.

The short story How the Marquis Got His Coat Back was included in the Neverwhere audiobook on Audible. I absolutely love Neverwhere so I was excited to listen to this story years and years after reading Neverwhere for the first time. I really liked it.
