Firstly can I say I do like this book and the first time I read it I actually liked it even more than the first 3. I do suspect however that is because I have read the next book and know how the final book ends. That being said I dont particularly like Eadlyn. I love several of the guys in the main series but atleast in this book feel no attatchment to the main character. Eadlyn has been taught her whole life that she is the most powerful person in the world, she believes she has to be powerful to be able to have any respect in a mostly male dominated world of politics, the moments when I like Eadlyn are when she is questioning herself and her beliefs. She definitely has potential for growth. ||What her brother did to his family was cruel, I understand his reason but at the same time I dont think the way he did it was right||. Overall though I dont like Eadlyn half as much as America I do like the other characters and the fact that I know the ending of the series improves everything for me.
