The final installment in Roz's adventures as a guardian for nature. In this she realizes her upgraded body parts are waterproof and that she is able to swim. When a toxic substance appears in the water around her island, Roz sets off to find the source and to try to stop it. Along the way she has many encounters with various sea life, as well as meets complex human characters. She and the forces of nature band together to work to destroy the source of the toxic substance, restoring the health of their waters and communities.
This was a lovely way to finish out the series as it delved into the one place we thought Roz could not go or experience - the ocean. With this as its conclusion, the series as a whole reminded me a bit of Willa of the Woods, featuring an extraordinarily protective, compassionate nature guardian. It was cozy yet thought-provoking and ultimately, had a happy ending.
