It’s not often I am blown away by a romantasy but I definitely was with this book. It was so well written that I was hooked every second of this book. There were literally no slow parts. No unnecessary dialogue. I felt deep connections with almost all the characters but in different ways, even the bad guys at some points.

The banter and romance was great. It felt like there ‘could be’ multiple possible romance options which was great for the tension. The plot was top tear and left you aching for more. The way we find out about the magic and politics of the world was top notch.

This one of the few romantasy books that I actually enjoyed the multiple point of views because it honestly helped me understand the characters personal motivations for their actions first hand, even if I didn’t agree with them all the time. And it was honestly refreshing to have a FMC and MMC that didn’t constantly have their head in the gutter when they thought of each other. I don’t know, it just came out more…respectful to the character archs.

I know one thing when I finished this book. I can’t wait to start the next book in the series and see where it leads our beloved characters next.
