After having read the whole "Chronicles of St. Mary" I'm continuing with this spin-off of sorts and I really enjoyed this first one. It's the Time Police, so it's a different kind of time travel and a different setting, but all in all it has a similar vibe. I liked the three main characters, all so very different and I was glad that they did not whisk up and down the timeline as Matthew's mum did so often in the last few St. Mary's stories.
