A series of disconnected short stories with varying (subjective) quality. It feels like the novel wants to do too many things in the same book. One story is the author thinking out loud about love, one is epistemological account of a movie star in the amazon jungle, one is a retelling of a trial in France a few hundred years ago, etc etc. To me the title was a bit misleading which resulted in a small disappointment for me.
