This was a fun book to read with my 10 year old. The old-timey English proved challenging at times, but it was a good opportunity to explain what was happening with her.
I’m not sure if I caught all the allegory and symbolism in the plot, but Toad’s hijinks, Mole’s sincerity, Ratty’s logic and Badger’s leadership made the read very enjoyable.
