The first half of the book was slow, though not necessarily in a bad way. I was intrigued enough to keep reading. Then right at the 50% mark I starting flying through the chapters, needing to know what happened next. I loved the mystery, the magic, the history, the romance, the politics. I can't wait to read the next book.
