Attack on Titan, Volume 22 by Hajime Isayama

5.0

I really liked this volume. Explanations about pretty much everything are finally done and well developed in this volume. We can see slowly how Eren’s personality is changing, in a more natural way than in the anime. It’s really full filling seeing them finally going to the ocean. That smile Mikasa and Armin share is really cute, and represents so many things about their friendship and what they both have been trough the last six years.

Also the iconic yet super heartbreaking love letter from Ymir to Historia is in this volume. Get to know for real, and canonically, that their relationship wasn’t a desesperated thing my head created in order to have some representation was really nice, yet so heartbreaking at the same time. Ymir and Historia are a wound that I feel personally, will never fully recover.
