I know this is deemed a classic and a must read. I also know that the writing style was supposed to create the athmosphere but to me it was just too simplistic and descriptive. It held me back from really visualising the story. I did cry... But that is mostly because I am unable to read books about dogs without crying. Do I think everyone should read this? Not really. I feel this speaks to a specific audience, however when you do read it, I hope it can take you on an adventure where I haven't been able to go.
