Firstly, I will say that the descriptions of food were fantastic and I wanted to eat it all! This was mainly in the first third of the book.
However, I think the reason I didn't like this book much was because the marketing was misleading. This is a slow paced commentary on beauty standards and fat phobia and I thought I'd be reading a fast paced murder mystery.
I don't mind unlikable characters but I felt like I couldn't connect to them. Especially the third friend, who had very questionable actions.
