this book reads as an honest and vulnerable memoir of the author’s experience in an abusive polyamorous relationship. while there are no particularly profound conclusions she draws while navigating a cishet/white/upper middle class version of the polyamory world, her experience with abuse is helpful to learn from. would recommend to those experiencing gaslighting, or who suspects they may be romantically entangled with a narcissist. the author acknowledges that her story about stepping into non monogamy with questionable practices resulted in a lot of mess, and that is certainly true.
