I'm not even sure where to start this one, and I didn't have much of an idea of what I was getting to with it other than that it would probably be intense, which if definitely was. I can only imagine what it would be like to see this story unfold on the stage (and there are lots of stage directions to help with that! Especially with the horses and movement).
This was compelling, and questioning, and at times shocking and other times sad. I don't quite know what I feel about it, but I know that I was feeling all throughout reading it. Still need to process it, but that is a sign of an engaging read.
