The Mistletoe Motive
by Chloe Liese
I have the worst time trying to read this author, but I keep seeing the recommendations, so I tried to give these books another chance. This one is shorter, so I decided to at least finish it, though that turned out to be a mistake.
The writing is all over the place — it's like watching a cartoon inappropriately horny chipmunk overloaded on sugar, caffeine and Viagra. Just reading it is exhausting and disgusting. Ugh. I don't think anything about this book has quality good enough to merit a discussion.
Additionally, I found the [mis] representation of neurodiversity and demisexuality in this book downright offensive.
By now it's very safe to say — this author is not for me. Never again.
