Memory Piece
by Lisa Ko
I felt like I knew where this novel of three Asian-American friends who meet as girls and grow into a performance artist, a web developer, and an activist, but then the third section jumped 40 years into a dystopian future on me and ruined all my guessed. I'm going to roll this one over for a while. Right now I can tell you that I really enjoyed it and believe it has important things to say about impermanence and preservation and identity and the ways we need each other to not only get by but to remind us who we are.
