Wow, I loved this book!! There are some things I wish were addressed but I’m still happy with the ending and really liked the series.

I loved how there were many issues and they weren’t resolved immediately. We had Auren and Slade apart for quite some time - and I liked that! Nice to have a FMC able to hold her own and kick ass herself. 
Hated the little memory loss trope but it faded as fast as it came so I didn’t care much.
 
I am upset the fight with

the king or his dad wasn’t more epic. It was DEFINITELY cool and i was yelling alongside them but i wish it was a little longer. Really wanted slade to fuck up dad even more (though he did a great job). - and was SO shocked that Auren died 🫣. 
Also wish we got to see more fighting from lu and osrik in the end too with the stone king. Felt like he was NOT as strong as he was supposed to be.

Felt super back burner to me. 

 Anywho.. some things i loved for the ending -

argo came with!!! <3
hint of ryatt and emelie(? forgot name already) hint of romance
lu being captain <<<<3
osrik and rissa 
hot scene w/ slade and auren and his DRAGON IS BACK!!! 
they get their happy ending with their own little house and cute stuff!

some things im upset about the ending: 

Kaila being alive still and definitely wanting control over all kingdoms
leaving orea behind (don’t care) but leaving behind the army (thur or whatever. forgot his name too -  WAS given title of captain.. but they never got closure on king rot and now literally his whole posse is gone like the wind) 
also left behind all people of fourth.. especially the two little girls who healed and loved argo :( 
his premiers, keg’s parents and siblings will never be seen again… and twig and his parents are prob separated forever and twig is in orea!! :,(

also last thing we never got to

fuck poppy up for being a bitch too so i’m honestly glad we left her behind.

can’t think of anything else but i think that’s why i gave 4.75. it was soooo close to 5 ⭐️ but wish there was a little more on orea after, and that the fight scenes were a bit more longer and epic(er). i hate a rushed answer for the ending and i feel the two

main bad guys were killed so fast.

also last note i really wanted auren to

go back to highbell and suck all the gold right out. and back to midas’ body and leave him goldless as well

. but that was just a wish for my revengeful self.
