I couldn't get enough of this one. Firstly Egypt is always a fascinating topic. Then add a very satisfying level of adventure, peril, magical realism, and twisty turns. And I'll be damned if Inez and Whit don't have one of my favorite dynamics of any couple ever written. They're also fascinating characters individually. And the very ending, my gods, I clearly HAVE to read the next one. Typically I hate cliffhangers in a series but I'm not even mad. What a delight it will be, spending more time with Inez and Whit and hopefully some of the other characters who are all distinct and interesting in their own ways.
