The Woman They Could Not Silence: The Timeless Story of an Outspoken Woman and the Men Who Tried to Make Her Disappear by Kate Moore

Infuriating. Mind-blowing. Crazy.

I don't know of a word that could possibly sum up the emotions that I went through reading this book. I DO know that I want to reach back through time and thank Elizabeth Packard for fighting for all women to have legal rights and property aside from any husband. And I would love to reach back in time and bring all those who sat in abuse of their power forward to 2021 and see them get schooled in basic human rights. Amazing that this all happened only 160 years ago.

Well-written book, love the discussion questions at the end, and the huge section of sources to see where all of the writings came from.
