Atomic Love by Jennie Fields
2.0
2.5, barely missing a three for me. I appreciate historical fiction not set in the center of World War II and Atomic Love definitely tries to bring us to the time of the Cold War. This book wasn’t unreadable, by any means! I could see many people adoring Roz, but it just kind of fizzled for me. It felt flat and without any real vivid espionage—which is really what I craved from Atomic Love.
What worked for me:
• The romance was not the only story line. It wasn’t overly sentimental and felt more real than other romance novels.
• Rosalind was impeccably smart in her own right.
• Rosalind was breaking the glass ceilings of her day
