A Whole New World by Liz Braswell

As a ‘twisted tale’ of the Disney original I found the darker spin interesting and gave the villain a new level of evil. There isn’t much backstory given to the characters other than Aladdin - I would have liked to have seen more context as to why Jafar is the way that he is. Lovable characters like the Genie, the carpet and Abu aren’t as prevalent in this story however you do meet a couple of other cool side characters that make up for it.

3.5/5 * for me - it was an easy read and I enjoyed its unique spin on a familiar story.
