Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters

Man I've been forgetting to log books on here. Since I read this a few months ago my reflections are a bit out of date but I really appreciated that the drama of this book was extremely engaging. It was truly a page turner for me. I feel like I learned a ton about queer sub spaces I didn't really know much or anything about beforehand. The life of a Trans person seems incredibly complicated and I really don't at all envy the sorts of emotions and identity related challenges they have to navigate. I also loved the sort of "I'm in a more vulnerable group than you" wars that happened and the end result that while folks had to recognize each other's struggles everyone's perspectives had to been seen as valid and treated with respect and care before true harmony and trust could be developed. An amazing and wild ride I'd recommend to anyone and could definitely see myself rereading in the future. This one is staying on my shelf for sure.
