Sisters of Night and Fog by Erika Robuck

5.0

It has been over a decade since I first read a book by Erika Robuck, and that book happened to be Hemingway's Girl. It has been nine years since my last read of one of Erika's books. That one was Fallen Beauty.

It was time to read one of Erika's books again.

Actually, I should say "listen to" because taking full use of my recent gift of an Audible subscription, I selected for my monthly credit, Sisters of Night and Fog. I was not disappointed.

I was engaged, hanging on to each chapter alternating between Virginia and Violette, the past and the present day of the novel.

Sisters of Night and Fog is a powerful and moving novel. Strong characters, rich writing, and a very well narrated audio edition. It is setting in the France and England of World War 2 where two strong women seek to defy Nazi rule at every turn.

Thank you Erika for another great novel!
