Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

5.0

I've read this book & series after it was first released, and perhaps I was too young at the time to appreciate the great writing of Cassandra Clare. I picked up this series right after Jace and Clary's tale, and I mistakenly thought it didn't measure.

While I'd say these 3 books are much more mature, the emotions fueling these well-written characters are more complex and relatable as I've gotten older.

This series made me want to re-read the Tale of Two Cities, as well as pick up another poetry book. Cassandra Clare never disappoints, and I cannot wait to get my hands on her new series, which will no doubt be just as exceptional as anything that she's done before.
