Good Morning, Destroyer of Men's Souls: A Memoir of Women, Addiction, and Love by Nina Renata Aron

5.0

Read the ARC. This book is raw, heavy, and honest. I had to set it aside for a day or two a couple times to disengage from the headspace. An unsparing memoir of the author's formative years through early adulthood, and a deep dive into the lived experience of codependence. The prose: a still photo of a predator at the carcass, caught pulling its head up at the flash, raw meat dangling from its mouth.
