Most Likely to Score by Lauren Blakely

5.0

Forbidden romances, those are some of the most fun to listen to. Will they get over the taboo related to their relationship? Lauren Blakely has taken this premise and written a fun and flirty romance featuring Jones Beckett, football playboy and her publicist Jillian. Given the opportunity to hook-up, the two realize there is more to their relationship than just sex. But their positions do not allow them to go public with their relationship. Question at this point is will they withstand the test of time? Will they be able to hide or stay away from each other? Blakely can take a situation and write it into a set of well developed characters that are easily invested in. From the start, it is impossible not to root for the success of these two. As we get to know both better, learning about the family oriented, big hearted Jones and the history of Jillian's childhood and relationship with her parents, it's obvious these two belong together. It's just getting there that is the obstacle! Love how it all turns out.

With Andi Arndt and Sebastian York giving this book the voices to the dual points of view, it's a very warm and comfortable listen. York gives his alpha male the strength and wit he is known to give and Arndt provides the warmth and emotion of Jillian perfectly. A decadent indulgent listen.
