The Furies by Katie Lowe

5.0

This book has so much hype but rightfully so!
It's a modern take on witchcraft and cliques as a way to express female power and years of toxic masculinity which eventually ended in thinking that women are the weaker sex. This book is revenge against those men that still think have the upper hand when it comes to placing women where they want to, or how they want to. With its references to powerful women in mythology to art, it shows us the different views on women's power.

The Furies was so much fun! It keeps you glued to the pages, and once you get to know Violet, Robin, Grace and Alex, it will be really hard to let them go. Like Violet, the reader is drawn to this clique with that burning feeling of belonging somewhere, to someone.

It has the perfect mix of teenage angst and girl power, as well as mythological references and art with that creepy sprinkle of creepy along the way.

It was highly addictive and dangerously poisoning. A brilliant debut!
