I don’t know that I fully understood this book, but I know that I really liked it, found it to super engaging, found the teenage characters relatable, and felt charmed by how different this is.

Frankie and Zeke are both super awkward teenagers, eager to make art and their mark on the world. When one of their creations ends up causing panic not only in their city but nationally, they grapple with their impact and pride from their creation.

The teenage moments are so earnest and wistful. Who can’t remember wanting to be known, wanting to find their place, and feeling completely overwhelmed?

Frankie’s adult reactions are harder for me to relate to, but maybe it’s because I’ve never created nation-wide panic before. Overall, this was super interesting, and I would read more from this author again.
