This was a very good book. I love the film too, but the book was definitely better as it went into detail about each character.
However, I don't know how I feel about a white woman writing a book on this topic, especially as she didn't get any black people's insights to help her.
That said, I did really enjoy it. It did make me laugh and definitely made me realise how hard it would have been to be alive at that time.
