Unraveling Rain by Liss Montoya

5.0

This was my first book by Liss Montoya—and oh my god, what a ride. Emotional, heart-hitting, and full of healing, Unraveling Rain pulled me in right from the start.

Rain is a fierce, resilient queen. I loved her strength, how she faced her past, and still opened her heart. And Xander? Literal definition of soft but strong—protective, thoughtful, and honestly the sweetest cinnamon roll with a hockey stick.

Their chemistry? Undeniable.
The spice? Perfectly balanced.
But what really made this book stand out was the emotional depth. It deals with trauma and recovery in such a careful, respectful way.

Also, can we talk about the found-family vibes and Granny?? ICONIC. Small-town chaos but make it healing.

If you love slow burns, golden retriever hockey boys, and strong heroines with soft hearts—this one’s for you
