This book is everything that I would want in a fantasy. The writing is superb - it’s intellectual but yet doesn’t feel too complex to read. The characters are gripping and the plot twisting and turning in ways that you wouldn’t expect. From the beginning, I loved Rin and I followed in her emotional turmoil throughout the book. In Part 3 of the book, there are some very graphic and upsetting descriptions though. I read this book digitally through a library loan, but I think I’ll be buying the box set to keep!
