Falling for the Villain by Rachel Van Dyken, M. Robinson

4.0

This is an intense dark romance book. It is what can be referred to as a dark captive romance. Donovan trains captured women to be pets for other men. Juliet is a concert pianist who intrigues Donovan. He is very cruel to her when first captured and eventually she develops feelings for him in a Stockholm Syndome manner. He realizes that he is obsessed with her and is not ready to let her go. Also her brother Romeo is searching for Juliet as well.
This is a book for those who like intense relationships that start out on very unequal grounds. You do see the chemistry of the couple and do start rooting for them. There are other characters who are more evil and try to disrupt the relationship. This was a quick read and enjoyable when you are in the mood for a morally ambiguous romance.
