Tears of Salt by Sierra Knoxly
reread
ava’s train of thought to me is bizarre. and as said before she definitely emotionally and physically cheated w taron which hated every minute of. when harper and her had the will they won’t they we already saw the guy accept him so it was fun to read.
okay let’s talk about the guys
- harper is my fav even though he kidnapped her
- skye scares me! he never did before but the more his animal comes to play the calm guy i liked disappears
- errit is sweet but i’m sorry but he needs to work on his temper what do you mean you called her slut
- taron is worst addition. how he got added felt like ava forcing it on everyone. harper joining was met happiness all around. also taron had the most insta love out of everyone.
- vanrey is the reason i’m rereading. he is so uptight about duty that i want to see how he fars.
the guys heights keep changing. first harper was a bit shorter than errit and taller than skye then he’s only an inch taller than skye who is five five like ava. then he’s now taller than taron whose supposed to be giant? also at some point ava says vanrey is two feet taller than her????? skye was the most mascular in the beginning and harper had a runners body and errit was leanest. now harper has bigger muscles. idk it’s all confusing and it feels like author forgot their physical descriptions between books. anyway i have an image of them in my head and i’m sticking to it
——————————-
once again i prefer the mm relationships to the mf relationships. all she gets is insta love and lust while the guys get to know each other slowly. at some point it feels like cheating when she added the new guy. it’s so insta it made no sense. whatevs
anyway
the relationship angst on top of all the politicking was too much. it’s book four! i wish they would settle their relationship issues already.
the mfc is annoying. she complains about not being powerful but never bothers to ask to be trained except once in book two. harper literally always tries his best to build on his skills even though he is not the strongest which is admirable and interesting to read. she never tries. the guys keep telling her she’s amazing and that it’s okay and it is believable for the guys to like that but as the reader it makes her chapters boring. she’s always crying but does nothing. erritt cries a lot too but he does a lot. even when it comes to relationship drama she never handles it well. so why should i root for her? sure i don’t want to get caught but she’s just not enjoyable characters to follow.
also the timeline is so confusing. how long is a month? in the beginning of the book they’d been there for three months now it’s six? i’m so confused but i can ignore it.
on to the next book!
