What I Should’ve Said was surprisingly more emotional than I expected. It started out as a cute, fun story but took a more serious turn toward the end. I really enjoyed the dynamics between our three main characters, and I thought the heavier issues were handled with care.

However, I do think the ending could’ve delivered a satisfying HEA without including that particular element (being vague to avoid spoilers!). I was very close to giving this five stars—which I rarely do—but that one thing knocked a whole star off for me.

That said, I’m definitely looking forward to the next book, especially because I need answers from the sister!
