I enjoyed the first part of the book with the connection to the Russian mafia and Liz /Abigail entering into witness protection after witnessing cold blooded murder. Somehow moving into 12 years later the book seemed to loose momentum. The romance with the local Police chief Brooks seems more cliche and less engaging. The ending seemed rushed and I would have loved to read more about how Abigail/Liz brought the mafia down. In summary I wanted more thriller and less romance, but a book I enjoyed in any event.
