3.0

I can't decide whether to give this book 3 or 4 stars. So lets give is a 3.5. It was a simple quick read. I kept me interested and entertained, but I feel like it was lacking in some crucial areas. I loved the mythical, romance, and adventure that was included in the plot. It reminded me a lot of the Twilight series. But unlike Twilight I felt like during the whole book I was only skimming the surface of the story. I feel like the author should have dived more into the storyline. I would have loved more information when Tam was explaining their history to her, and hearing more details about how Laurel felt about Tam and David. There is always a simple explanation on her feelings such as "I felt drawn to him" or "he was warm to me". I couldn't help but compare it to Stephanie Meyer's books where she is always so detailed, you can completely imagine how the narrator is feeling. I wouldn't have minded the book to be longer, even by a hundred pages or more, if she would have did more the merely skim the story.

But I still did enjoy the book and I do plan to keep reading if she continues the story to future books, but I do hope that she gets more "into it".
